Trip to Paris

Deaf Paris Sport Club celebrated their 100th anniversary on 7-9th June 2011. They invited us “London Lions” basketball team to play with them to honour the 100th anniversary. We left London on Friday evening with the minibus. The team enjoyed the trip.

The first game we had was on Sat afternoon with the Paris team.
We played hard against them because of the long minibus journey, we were tired but lucky in the end we could beat them by one point. We jumped over joy. Now we could rest.

Second leg of game was on Sunday, and yet again against the Paris team.
In the first quarter we lost by 8 points but eventually we finally beated them over by 15 points.

And we are the champion! :)

We received a nice trophy and each of us player received a medallion (- symbol of Paris).

After those both games we went to out to eat. After an enriched meal we then left Paris for London.
We arrived in London on Monday morning with proudness and great experience from Paris.

Thank you for the team “London Lions” for going to Paris, bringing back home a great trophy, they played great and with the of London Lions blood’s patience. :-)
